These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and GavelGap LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company ("GavelGap," "we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using the GavelGap Chrome extension (the "Extension"), the web dashboard at app.gavelgap.com (the "Dashboard"), or the marketing site at gavelgap.com (the "Site") — collectively, the "Service" — you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
GavelGap is a research and analysis tool for government surplus auctions (primarily GovDeals.com). The Extension scores auction listings in your browser. The Dashboard collects your scans and surfaces deal opportunities. The Service provides estimates of resale value, shipping cost, and profit potential based on comparable sales data and publicly available information.
GavelGap does not bid, buy, sell, or transact on your behalf. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any valuation, score, verdict, or estimate. All figures are informational — you are solely responsible for your own bidding and purchasing decisions.
GavelGap LLC is an independent third-party tool. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by GovDeals, Liquidity Services Inc., eBay Inc., Google LLC, or any government agency.
To access certain features (the Dashboard, Pro features in the Extension), you must create an account. You agree to:
You are responsible for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
GavelGap offers a free tier (the Extension with basic scoring) and a paid subscription ("GavelGap Pro") that unlocks additional features including sold comparables, the deal feed, and the web dashboard.
Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. Your payment information is sent directly to Stripe and is subject to Stripe's terms. We do not store your full credit card number.
New subscribers may receive a free trial period (currently 7 days). During the trial you have full access to Pro features. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins and your payment method is charged the applicable subscription fee.
We may modify or discontinue trial offers at any time. Trial eligibility is limited to one per person.

The Service, including its code, design, branding, and content, is owned by GavelGap LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes, subject to these Terms.
You retain ownership of any data you provide (e.g., saved searches, feedback). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process that data as described in our Privacy Policy.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GAVELGAP LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GAVELGAP LLC, ITS OFFICERS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GavelGap LLC, its officers, members, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hennepin County, Minnesota, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date. If we make a significant change (e.g., pricing, liability), we will notify you by email or a prominent notice on the Service at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
